Vinita Nair
She joined ABC News in July 2004, and has reported on many subjects, including Jon Benet Ramsey's investigation, Jon Benet Ramsey investigation, and school shootings near Bailey, Colorado. Nair was promoted to ABC News anchor/correspondent in December 2007 with ABC News Now. In her capacity as a correspondent, she provided live reporting and briefings to ABC's networks. Nair also co-anchored World News Now on ABC from September 17, 2008. from September 17, 2008 until January 18, 2011, as well as America This Morning. In both of the shows she first teamed up alongside Jeremy Hubbard then later Rob Nelson. Nair announced to the viewers of World News Now that she did not plan to appear in World News Now after Friday 18th of February 2011. She announced that her last day at ABC News would be Friday on February 18. Peggy Bunker from KDVR Denver was immediately her successor. The edition on February 18, World News Now paid tribute to Nair in each of its three segments. It also featured appearances by current and former coworkers, such as Jeremy Hubbard. On her last day, Nair treated her crew to breakfast that was delicious.
